THE CHALLENGE

To create a series of illustrations for 3 books, the images were brought together by the same aesthetic and color scheme to produce a set that accurately reflected the subjects of the novels. Simple shapes and high contrasting colors were used to make the book covers stand out: a haunting female silhouette for Flowers of Evil, a face breaking in shiny pieces for Illuminations and a sleepy women with hair laying like foliage for Leaves of Grass.
